I’ve read many books about manifestation and personal development. I’ve even subscribed to YouTube Channels that talk about miracles and manifestations. Including listening to podcasters, taking advice from family and friends, and immersing myself in religion. To figure out how to live the life I desire, all while embracing my authentic self. If you are on the same boat yet want to bypass all of that, I am sharing summarized tips from all the sources I gathered to save you some time.
These tips are repeated over and over again, and I finally got to a point where I no longer look outside of myself for guidance. Take this valuable information that I am sharing with you and run with it.
INNER SELF TALK:
The world can be loud sometimes, especially with all the media we have access to. From television, social media apps, and music, there are constant distractions. Even though these tools can be entertaining, they can also numb your inner voice. So, what does that have to do with acquiring everything you want? It means that our thoughts are powerful and can trigger our emotions and actions. In the moments when you encounter challenges in your journey, how you speak to yourself is important because it will dictate how you view your experiences and the decisions you make.
What helps with establishing a strong mind is utilizing affirmations. Uplifting and powerful words or statements will help you get what you want in life. For instance, athletes know this; they have to consistently tell themselves that they are winners so that they can put their all into the game. If you keep repeating negative phrases to yourself, your life will reflect that. So strengthen your armour and speak words of love into your life like “I am the best…I am capable…This is working out 10x fold for me…I trust myself…I believe in myself…I love myself”. The act of self is the armour, but the action is the weapons.
NOW:
The present moment is the only time that matters. Not yesterday and not tomorrow, only now. There is a quote from the Rocky III (my favorite, fyi) film that reminds me of this, which is “there is no tomorrow”. For context, Apollo was training a jaded Rocky for an upcoming fight against Clubber Lang. Rocky’s closest people reminded him of the importance of the present moment, despite any challenges.
However, don’t let that phrase scare you. What this means is to have gratitude and to stop pushing off the things you know you must get done! Stop saying, “Oh, I’ll do it tomorrow,” when you don’t even know if tomorrow is promised or will at least look similar to the day before. Whether that’s exercise, sending an email, completing a blog, whatever it is, today is important because it’s going to be an echo of tomorrow.
Look at it like this: what you do today will be reflected in the future. Yes, dare to believe that you will open your eyes the next day and move your body and have a sane mind, but don’t have the audacity of thinking that you could just push off the things that you know will greatly impact your life because of laziness.
CONSISTENCY:
This brings me to the “little by little” concept. Consistency is just repetition, and the amount of effort you put into it doesn’t have to be big. It can be small. Break up the task into tiny habits and grow from there. Little by little is what maintains a strong habitable practice. This will help you build inner trust, respect, and strength in all that you do.
Also, know your “why” for the reason you’re doing what you are doing. It will be fuel (motivation) for the moments you may encounter challenges. Need help with condensing your task so that it’ll be easier to stay on top of it? Use this Little By Little journal (freebie) to help you.
FAITH:
Be unrealistic about what you want! In other words, have faith in the unseen. If you can have fear in the things you don’t see, then you can have faith, too. Ask and you shall receive, but be specific about what you want. There have been plenty of times when I made a wish upon a star and miraculously got what I wanted, like a free guitar, plane ticket voucher, and more. I get what I want every single day, and I actively search for it.
Faith is belief therefore, believe in yourself. That is freedom at its finest. You have a choice! You can choose to wait until you see 100k subscribers on your platform, or you can pretend that they are there because it wouldn’t matter when it comes to your behavior.
INSPIRED ACTION:
That is where taking inspired action comes in. This means making decisions that are in line with the person you want to be and who has the life you desire. The cool thing about free will is that you can pretend to have what you want because it’s the feeling you are chasing.
For instance, if you aspire to be a person who is fit and feels great in their body, you have to incorporate movement and healthy eating in your life. Also, you have to stay firm in it by being consistent and affirming yourself often, especially if what you want is outside your comfort zone.
Another thing is to complete what you started. You have to prepare yourself for what you asked for so that your wishes don’t seem like a dream; they are reality. Don’t worry about perfection; only be an executor.
GRATITUDE:
There are many things to be grateful for every single day. You can put effort into finding something big or small to appreciate. Whether it’s being blessed with a new day, breathing in oxygen, or having a source of transportation. There are many things out there that you have that someone else doesn’t. Tomorrow’s mystery is what gives life meaning. So, be grateful for all you have, even when it’s hard too.
This was a great blog for me to write. I truly believe in it with my whole heart. Trust me when I tell you that this list is all you need. It is simple, and it’s all in your head when you really think about it. The mind can be heaven or hell, so why not make it beautiful? Speak love into your life! Be intentional with today! Hold promises with yourself! Have child-like faith! Be grateful! And take advantage of the temple you have and the universe that’s in your mind.
