Visit Urban Grind in ATL

As a writer, I enjoy sitting at cafés. There is something about eating a good pastry, tasting different beverages, and using free Wi-Fi that just warms the soul.

This summer, I stayed in Atlanta, Georgia. To get acquainted with the city, I visited a few cafés. On my list was Urban Grind, a Black-owned cafe located in West Midtown.

What I like about this place is the vibe. Their aesthetic reminded me of New York, and after talking to the owner, that was her inspiration since she’s a native herself. They have nice cozy chairs to lunge in, pastries, good music, free wifi, and a friendly staff. You will find people studying, socializing, chilling, or just stopping in to grab a drink and a sandwich. Every Thursday at 7:30 PM, they host open mics, art exhibits, and more for the community.

Another thing that makes them stand out is the area they are located in. Nearby are Emmy’s Squared Pizza, Food Terminal, Bartaco, and more restaurants on the Howell Mill Rd strip.

If you’re looking for a new place to work from, visit Urban Grind in ATL and order their Lavender Latte.

Look out for my next blog on Tuesday (October 29th)! I’ll be introducing you to someone special.
